Innocent Indiscretions is the 7th book in the Unrivalled Regency series of Regency mystery romance. While each book is a standalone story, the series is best read in order due to the reappearance of previous characters and places. The book is suitable for anyone age 16+ due to some sensual scenes and adult language.

If it wasn’t for Jeremy, goodness knows where Elisa Rowallan would have ended up. She had a lot to thank him and his friends for. However,  it was more than thanks she felt for Jeremy. Unfortunately, it has been five long years since last she had seen him. She could only conclude that her feelings for him had not been returned.

For five years, Jeremy had kept his distance, but he cannot stay away from Elisa any longer. She is the love of his life, and by the look in her eyes, he dares to hope that he is the love of hers. However, dark and dangerous forces plot against both Elisa and Jeremy. They must keep their wits or risk losing each other forever.

I was so excited when I heard that there was another book in the Unrivalled Regency series, and I could not wait to get my hands on it. Innocent Indiscretions (Unrivalled Regency Book 7) by Jackie Williams was everything I hoped it would be and then some. Mis Williams brought the glamour of the Regency era to life, and, as with all her books, I fell into the story.

I adored the characterisation of both Elisa and Jeremy. Their romance is so sweet, and their love was very believable and real in the telling. The story itself was filled with many twists and turns. I feared for our brave protagonists lives at one point. This story certainly kept me on the edge of my seat!

If you are looking for a sweet Regency Romance with a fast-paced plot with plenty of action, then look no further than Innocent Indiscretions. This book is part of a series, but it stands very well on its own. However,  I do recommend picking up the other books in the series as well because they are fabulous!

I was born in Essex England during the mid sixties but I missed all the fun. Being only young, I assumed that all Beatles were six legged creatures and Flower Power was something to do with the vigorous way my mother kneaded the bread dough.

My wonderful parents brought me up with a huge love of books. We read anything and everything. Bedtime stories were a treasured time of adventure and mystery. My sister and I sat wide eyed in wonder and to this day I worry about Dinah and Dorinda being pricked with pins because they grew so fat, and I never pull faces at the a waning moon (or was it a waxing one?) just in case my chops stay that way . I began reading romance while still at school. The fuel for many a teenage fantasy leapt from between the covers of wildly romantic books and my passion still lingers now for all those dark haired heroes.

My own beautiful teenage daughter persuaded me to write my first romance. She was only fourteen at the time and between books for children and adults. She couldn't find anything that ticked all her numerous and particular boxes and so she asked me to write a book, with all the exact ingredients just for her. Though not just a book for teens, she enjoyed the resulting tale so much that she shared it with her friends and I eventually published A Perfect Summer as an ebook on amazon.

But I have discovered that writing is not easily stopped once you start. It has turned into a grand passion that I just cannot hold back. The fingertips start tapping the keys and ideas suddenly come flooding, far too many for just one book and so I began another and then another, and I am still nowhere near done.

I am a huge fan of author, C.A King and I simply adored The Portal Prophecies series, so when I found out that C.A King had written a spin-off series, I could not wait to get my hands on book  1.  Finding The Fountain of Youth (Shattering the Effects of Time Book 1) was everything I expected and then some. The story has the same intensity as The Portal Prophecies series. It is a real page-turner. I became so engrossed in the story that I lost all track of time.

It was great to be back with some of the characters from The Portal Prophecies series, and it was also wonderful to meet some new ones. I thought Nadine was portrayed very well. She came across as very real in the telling. Her story was intriguing and above all interesting. Likewise, Jessie was a well-rounded character, whom I cared for very much.

I cannot wait to get my hands on book 2!

About the author!

I was diagnosed with clinical depression after the loss of my mother, father and husband within three years of each other - to cancer. The years of 24/7 in-home care, coupled with the loss I felt, left its mark on my psyche.

Depression takes up a lot of my life. Reading and writing are the only things I have found that help (in connection with regular medication), even if only for a short time. To escape to a different world can make a big difference in my mood in real life.

To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn't open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall, There didn't need to be a reason or trigger.

People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world other people could escape to. I wanted to share the place that had helped me for many years.

I read books as well as write them. I have visited the worlds many different authors have created. Those worlds make me feel better and give me strength to face real life again. I want to thank everyone who writes - I want them to know they are making a difference.

I always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don't ever let anyone tell you different.

But unfortunately the members of the band have made some dubious decisions in their eagerness to get a recording deal. When things turn nasty with the local psychopathic night club bouncers and drug dealers, Eve feels she has no option but to step in to prevent her brother being dragged down with the rest of the boys. As the consequences spiral out of control, Eve is forced to spend a lot more time with Quinn than she ever really wanted to

Eve hated Adam Quinn. She had hated him since that terrible day he had decided it would be funny to cut off her plait. So what if that was a long time ago, she still remembered. And she still wanted revenge. But now her little brother has gone and formed a band with the detestable Adam. What had he been thinking?

Adam knew that Eve hated him, at one point he had hated her too. But it was different now, the feelings he had for her no longer felt like hate. They felt a lot like…

OH, MY DAYS! Not Quite Eden by Dominique Kyle is one of those books that you say you are going to read one more page and then end up reading another two chapters. Talk about not being able to put a book down!

Not Quite Eden deals with a lot of things that young adults can accidentally find themselves involved in and Eve and Adam certainly know how to mess things up for themselves and their friends. They seem to fall from one disaster to the next. This book deals with many issues, underage sex, drugs, knife crime, the law, I could go on, but I have to commend  Ms Kyle for her honest portrayal of what life is like for some of our young adults. It is a complicated world that they are growing up in.

I thought that Eve and Adam were very well drawn characters. They came across as very real in the telling. I must admit, sometimes I found myself shouting, “What are you doing?” at my kindle at some of the things they did. But then that is teenagers’ for you. I think this book is a marvellous addition to any young adults library.

Dean sees women as conquests. The chase is his thing. Once they surrender, he leaves them and goes onto the next. Now he has his eyes set on the timid and veiled, Yasmin Khan. He is determined to corrupt her and spit in God’s face as he does so.

There are some books that really grab you from the opening page and do not let you go until the end. Soul Tracing: Taboo by Ifraah Samatar and Irsha Akbar is one of those books and then some. I was utterly drawn into the word that these very talented authors have created. I found myself really rooting for these two fabulous protagonists. Yasmin has such a gentle soul that I could not help but adore her. And as for Dean… Dean seems like this arrogant rich kid, who has everything he ever wanted, but that is just a façade. His harrowing childhood torments him. This story is as much about his recovery as it is about Yasmin’s yearning for freedom.

The story itself was heartbreakingly beautiful. This forbidden romance was wonderful in the telling.  This is a book that captured my heart and many times I found myself reaching for the tissues. I have to admit I did fear how this story would end. I am not going to give away any spoilers, but boy did the authors throw in a massive curveball that I did not see coming.

If you are looking for an emotionally gripping read that will have you holding your breath, then this is the story for you.

Fabulous storytelling. A truly wonderful book.
